My Darling I have loved you
As you walked this land below
And shown you the best I could
I want you to come home.
The choice was yours as always
And now choosing time is done
You have drawn your final breath
And closed your eyes in death
Your choice I cannot know
In that final breaths content
And can only hope you chose love
And home to heaven went.
Though my heart is aching now
Because I cannot know
Joy will overcome the pain
In Heaven's eternal glow.
If we should meet in Heaven
I'll know you finally came home
And the years of prayer
Will have reaped their great reward
But should you not be there
In Him I shall rejoice
For each who did come home
As we all had made our choice
My Darling, Heaven has no sorrow
There will not be time for a tear
No need for aching fear
You made your choice down here.
