Will You pass this message on for me?
Today is your anniversary, my darling.
It was one year ago today
You entered the gates of Heaven
Forever, there to stay.
I am so happy for you, my darling.
For you suffer no more pain.
This world can no more harm you.

I picture you now singing
In that sweet bass voice up higher
And wonder if you stand or sit
As you join in Heaven's choir.
Do you tell stories of this life
As those who listen roll from laughter.
Or is your mind on Him alone,
Filled with joy of ever after?
So many questions cross my mind
The answers I cannot know.
It won't seem long for you, but me
'Till I meet you in our eternal home.
Or just hold him close for a moment,
Whatever that amounts to in eternity?
