Work, hard work
Is how the story goes
Work, hard work
For shelter, food and clothes

Work, like slaves
Beholden to a master
Work, each day
Watched closely by taskmaster

Work, hard work
Begrudge not your lot
Work, hard work
Glorify God through your part

Of work, hard work
A real part of life
Work, hard work
Regard it not as strife

Work, hard work
Becomes a lighter load
When doing good work
As if for the Lord

Acknowledge that work
Counts for so much
The wheels of life turn
Because of your touch

Celebrate work
Acknowledge its fruits
Give praise and thanks to God
That you have work to do.
