You may or may not know of life,
All the trouble and the strife,
Waiting on the path you will tread to its end.
Of this you can be sure,
its entrenched in God's law,
He is always there to carry you as a friend.
We are told by those there first,
There is nothing, even the worst,
That can break you or God cannot mend.
He chose the path He took,
In your Bible take a look,
Creation to the cross a truly devastating blend.
From the first to the last,
All who meet Him shall ask,
"Why me Lord" a fact of life not a passing trend.
Ask not what you can do,
When He created you,
He gave you a role no-one else can tend.
Look for yourself and see,
All before who said "why me",
Had times when faith borrowed, not to lend.
Even Paul in his day,
on his Apostolic way,
through mire of fear and doubt had to wend.
