Love is where you find it…
I have often heard it said
But sometimes you over look it…
And that, is so very sad.
It is often at your fingertips…
Or just a step away
If one would only take the time to look…
And not let it slip away.
Love is in a mother’s touch…
When her child she tenderly holds
As she cradles a babe in her arms…
'More lovingly than gold'.
It is found in a teenage crush …
When puberty sets in
When a boy or girl realizes …
They can be more than just a friend.
Love is when young adults…
In searching for a mate
Finds that special someone…
And happily sets a wedding date.
Love is the understanding…
When someone has passed away
A hug or comforting word…
‘To brighten someone’s day.
Love is extended…
When offering a good deed
It doesn’t matter the offer…
As long as it fills the need.
When looks are exchanged…
Between man and wife
Conveying tender thoughts…
Throughout their married life.
It is found in the song of a bird…
The fragrance of a rose
And anywhere in the country…
Or down a dusty road.
But the greatest love of all…
Is the gift of God’s own son
When He died on the cross…
And Victory over sin was won.
