 The Path I take.... I take, for thy namesake.... To give honor and glory to thee My God, wholeheartedly I give my life to thee... Acknowledging you, in all I do You direct my steps.... For they are ordered by you You, my God, see me through.... For you have a plan... and this I understand For thy word, is a lamp unto my feet A light unto my path.... To take me to that place ordained.... Detained, when things are not right You stop me, and give me sight A light in the darkest of nights... For you took me from the path of destruction and though you have chastened me For those you love, there is correction If we hearken to your voice with love and devotion... Speaking to my spirit I hear it... Instruction you give... So that I may live.... Life abundantly through my Jesus You promise, you will never leave us... A life with purpose... Great is thy mercy and kindness.... The path I take.... My God, hold precious as your keepsake... For I give myself to pray To find the way... For myself, and others, come what may For there are no mistakes... That you make... How could it be? Your ways are made perfectly So I walk with thee and you walk with me With this so clearly, I am able to see I give my life totally Through this life, and eternity.... May all glory be to thee...
