God expressed Himself to man in nature,
And revealed His love to some extent,
Through the senses man can see God’s beauty,
This I am quite sure, was His intent.
God speaks to us in all the stars rare beauty,
That fills the summer sky from dusk till dawn,
He’s there with us when the red sun’s at its setting,
Casting many shadows, gray and long.
He speaks to us in sweet sounds of a song bird,
It’s nature’s music, spreading everywhere,
And with the awesome clap of summer thunder,
We can rest assured that God is there.
When we partake of goodness from God’s orchards,
We know that He’s abiding, constantly,
For all the food contained in God’s great garden,
Were meant for man, except fruit from one tree.
When flowers fill the earth with nature’s perfume,
Then summer rains bring sweetness to the air,
You’re aware there is a God that loves you,
And you and I are in His special care.
When you brush the cheek, a loved one near you,
Or when you clasp a toddler by the hand,
You experience joy, beyond description,
A feeling God helps you to understand.
Though God expressed Himself to man in nature,
Showing love in all that He had done,
His greatest _expression of love to man is seen,
Through Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son.
What greater love could He express to mankind,
Than what the Holy Lamb was to endure,
The pain, the anguish, suffering and death,
Mankind so stained with sin, needed a cure,
But all paths man now walks, won’t lead to heaven,
There is but one path, leading all the way,
This is through our precious Lord and Savior,
Pick up your staff, and walk that path, today.
