We often take for granted The blessings of each day. We do not take the time To acknowledge gifts sent our way.  At the top of our list Of gratitude should be The sacrifice of Jesus. He died to make us free. No longer under the law, We live by another creed. We obey the law of love. This is what we must heed. The law was only a hint Of good things to come. It foreshadowed atonement. It showed what we could become. Jesus offered Himself, A sacrifice for all mankind. He made the way for us To not be left behind. Through faith in Jesus Christ, Believers are set apart. We are forgiven. We have a brand new heart. How grateful we should be For Jesus’ sacrifice! Our salvation was purchased At a very high price. It cost God His only Son. His precious blood was shed. He paid sin’s ransom. For us he suffered and bled. We need to express our thanks Each time that we pray.
