Just a little piece of ribbon and nowhere could be found
For every one was sold; used to honor without sound
Our words all seemed so empty and the quiet deafenly loud
So a little piece of ribbon speaks for us "America I'm proud"
Just a little piece of ribbon to wear upon my breast
To say the words I cannot speak although I try my best
My heart is turned toward heaven, Our nation has been blessed
Oh Father God help us now that we may stand the test.
This nation that was founded so each one could come to You
And worship in the way that we individually knew
No fault be found in anyone for how they reach out to You
For how we show our love in the things we do
Since there 's no more ribbon I'll wear mine on my heart
And thank You for this great place if livin's easy or if it's hard
You have kept Your hand upon us right from the very start
We trusted You then, Father God, and now is no time to stop
God bless America we sing in chorus and in song
Today, tomorrow, as yesterday it's You who makes us strong
Yes, God bless America is the song that we shall bring
With or without the ribbon because our hearts will sing!
