 Prayer
Prayer is a priviledge
God grants to everyone.
Through that communication
Amazing things are done.
Our Father's ever ready
To hear what's on our hearts;
His grace and tender mercy
He then lovingly imparts.
Our faith and trust are deepened
As we tell God of our need;
With comforting assurance,
Christ is there to intercede.
Prayer is more than supplication,
We express our thanks and praise
As we recognize who God is,
And the purpose of His ways.
Unburdened by confession
That bridges over sin,
We're freed to love each other
As His Spirit works within.
When we choose to please our Father
And seek His Holy will,
He'll pour out enabling power,
That purpose to fulfill.
Our prayers should be constant,
So forgive me, Lord, I pray,
When I fail to use this priviledge
To commune with You each day.
