Such a tiny member of the body...The tongue within the month.
It can make or break a Nation...With the words it sends out.
A home can be broken...A church a down fall.
All because of the words,...The tongue cannot recall.
Angry words hastily spoken...Can break the heart of a child,
When it would have been so easy...To speak in kindness, with an infectious smile.
When you think before you speak...Keeping the tongue in tow,
A beautiful friendship...Soon is apt to grow.
We must always remember...Though tiny it may be.
It can be our best friend...Or - worst enemy you see.
Let us trust our Heavenly Father...To control this body part,
And not just be it's commander and chief...But also of the heart.
