During the course of my life, I'd traveled down many a road, searching for something to fill this empty void inside of me Then one night, I heard some gospel singin' coming from a small little church nestled among the trees It felt like something was a callin' out to me and as I went inside, the spirit of the Lord was so strong that I felt if I could just take his hand right then, He'd lead me gently home. I fell down upon my knees, I asked Him to forgive each and every sin and just then, I felt my heart melt, as Jesus entered in Oh what joy came over me, a feeling like never before, I was spirit filled, never to be empty again Thank you Jesus for opening salvation's door to me, I thought about the price he paid on that cross on Calvary, oh the pain and suffering he did for a sinner like me I'll never be worthy to even touch his nail scarred hand, but I pray to God he never lets go of me Yes sir, it happened to me that magic night, when singin' filled the air and as you entered in that little church, you knew God was there.
