Satan is as a roaring lion,
out to kill, steal, and destroy,
to take away one's peace of mind.
We have One who is greater
who promised we could overcome
we have victory through the Holy Spirit's power
in the name of Jesus, God's only begotten Son.
There is no weapon that can prosper
when we are aware of Satan's schemes
we have been given spiritual armor
we have weapons of warfare, as the Lord's redeemed.
Watch each day and pray
dwell in the secret place of the Most High God
for we can hide under the shadow of the Almighty
if in Jesus, we choose to abide.
The battle has already been won
we know victory is ours in the name of the Lord
He'll be with us all along life's way
until He calls us home to our final reward.
"Always watch and pray."
