Homecoming Day
There is coming a day
when the saints of God shall rise,
a day of homecoming and joy,
when we shall meet the Lord, in the skies.
Loved ones gone on before
we'll meet on the other side,
There we'll live with the Savior,
evermore in Him, we shall abide.
That great homecoming day
is promised for those in Christ,
those who have surrendered to the Lord
and given Him their heart and life.
We are not our own
but have been bought with price,
The Lord shed His precious blood,
to pay the cost, as a living sacrifice.
When the trump of God shall sound
and the Lord calls His children home,
We'll rise to meet the Savior,
nevermore to roam.
So hold on to all His promises
and await the day of His appearing,
for the signs of the times,
seem to say that day is nearing.
