Ignorance Is Dangerous
~ Virjinja ~

Countless people walk through life with awful misconceptions
Reading only headlines, drawing premature conclusions
Many generalize, based only on personal experience
Matching things up to their limited point of reference
This, my friend, is ignorance ~ at its worst, if not its best
Ignorance is quite dangerous, when put to the test:
Throw these folks into a mix... with ill-willed instigators
Fired up with misinformation... spewing from newspapers
Then hit them in their pocketbook... now you've lit the fuse
That turns their ignorance into a cannon on the loose
Ignorance is born of lazy habits and rigid traditions
Keeping people stuck inside their stiff-necked positions
Ignorance is a dread disease, most often self-inflicted
But the mere seeking after knowledge cures even the convicted
Put your mind into a box and seal it up real tight
How dangerous this ignorance ~ inside there is no Light
Have compassion for the ignorant
Most know not what they do
Teach them every way you can
Ply them with the Truth.
