He awakens me each morning
with a happiness so true;
He takes each step aside of me
As I face what I must go through.
Daily I am giving my Father
praises from deep within;
I praise Him for His love
He's filled me with - to the brim.
When I lay down to rest awhile
I always thank my Lord
For His written words of guidance
I find throughout His Holy Word.
Words of love, guidance, kindness,
And His leadership, too;
That we always need to face
every moment - oh so true.
He will never, never leave us
Nor will He lead us astray;
For His Holy Words of Guidance
Will lead us all the way.
