In his letter to the Romans,
Paul wanted readers to understand
The wonder of God’s gift of grace,
The remedy for sin He planned.
Sin entered into the world,
And death was spread to all men.
Man was separated from God,
All because of one man’s sin.
A great gulf was created
Between God and all mankind.
Sin broke the relationship.
A plan of redemption had to be found.
Through the grace of God,
The gap has been closed.
Man can now be free
From the penalty sin imposed.
The great gift of salvation
Was paid for on Calvary.
Jesus was the sacrificial lamb
Given to set men free.
Adam’s single act
Brought a curse for ages to be.
Yet Jesus’ solitary act
Showed grace beyond degree.
God’s mountain of grace
Overshadows our mound of sin.
We can have eternal life.
We can know peace within.
What a wonderful gift
That God has given to us.
His grace is measureless.
His ways are perfect and just.
The gift of salvation
Is available to anyone
Who will accept Jesus.
He died for sin to atone.
Have you received the gift
That Christ offers to you?
The debt has been paid in full.
Accept Jesus is what you should do!!
