Paul pointed the Romans
To a wonderful reality.
There is no condemnation
To believers who are free.
God did something for us
That the law could never do.
God allowed His only Son
To pay the sin debt that was due.
The debt of sin was great,
But Jesus paid the price.
He bore our sin and shame.
He was the sacrifice.
Christians have assurance
That our sins are washed away.
We live a life of peace,
Led by the Spirit each day.
Sins of the past are forgiven,
And we have a new direction.
We are led by the Spirit.
He gives us needed correction.
When the Holy Spirit
Is living on the inside of us,
We have a faithful guide,
One who is true and just.
His presence in our lives
Gives assurance and peace.
Our fears and problems
Will find sweet release.
His guidance is perfect.
He knows what is ahead.
We must seek His will,
And by His Spirit be led.
Be sensitive to His counsel,
And let Him be your guide.
Each day you will be happy
With Jesus by your side.
