Last night as I lay sleeping, A gentle voice I did hear, And in the stillness of the night, I knew the Savior was so near. He spoke to me in a soft whisper, And said " Child there's no need for alarm." For I will be with you always. I'll keep you safe from all harm. I'll calm the fears within your heart. And speak peace in your troubled times. I'll hold you ever so gently in my arms. My child, don't worry~ you're mine. Then suddenly I knew the Lord had visited me, All my fears they just disappeared, And I knew from that minute on, I would have nothing more to fear.
