Dare I approach another
leaving no heart-gift there...
no tender touch of kindness
encouragement to share

Go my way unencumber'd
as if we'd never met...
denying Love an open door
sweet friendship to beget

Leave behind such promise
two hearts if given chance...
could view beyond mere surface
of pomp and circumstance

Visions of soul and spirit
imprinted by Life's schemes...
the faith, the joys, the sorrows
fondest hopes and dreams
"But the Lord said unto Samuel,
Look not on his countenance, or on
the height of his stature;
because I have refused him:
for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for
man looketh on the outward appearance,
but the Lord looketh on the heart."
1 Samuel 16:7

Father ..
Thank You for creating me just as I am,
and for loving me just as I am.
My human mind knows that I'm not a
comely being, but, Father, I feel beautiful
in Jesus... for it is His love that causes
me to grow inwardly in the way which
pleases You.
Foolish I to leave behind
such field of opportunity...
untasted delicacies so rare
my soul would poorer be
Forget your vulnerability
my fragile heart commands...
cherish'd treasures yet unsealed
await your gentle hands
In quiet acquiescence
I submit to Wisdom's 'frain...
to harmonize with strangers
