This is one in a series of writings telling of the factors God worked together, as told us by Paul in Romans 8: 18-28, building the story of my life.

A married couple from Russia came to the USA
Not knowing where all they would travel;
just that the Lord would lead their way.
Knowing where'er God led they would testify, and pray.
They heard about a brand new place, just south of Carthage, Mo. Not being far from their track, they decided to go. I'm not sure what happened that caught their interest so. Maybe jet-lag was a factor; "why" we may never know.
In quite late, tired and worn, they slept too long on Easter morn,
So they asked the Lord to lead them to some place that started late. The radio told, just then, of all day meeting at the campground. So they got directions and made their way through our gate.
Before telling the rest, I need to say for the full impact, Read, if you haven't, faith factor considering this fact: I did not know this couple, nor did anyone I knew; Yet here they were in a town you could miss while passing through.
Morning services were ending; Sid was the only one outside When Brother and Sister Workman pulled into the drive. He helped them find a place to park their car and welcomed them aboard. Those Russians were then face to face with an assignment from our Lord.
There was food and fellowship; Sid introduced his new friends around. Everyone went into service except Sid; he worked the grounds. To keep an eye on our little flock, he began to sweep the porch. Family factor tells the children's caper that brought him through the door.
Congregational singing over; folks would sing and testify. Mom invited the Workmans to tell how God brought them by. He told of life in Russia, of having been imprisioned for the Word. He told of a book someone wrote titled "Tortured for the Lord."
Sidney found it all so interesting, he was on the edge of his seat. In perfect baratone, loud and strong, this new friend began to sing. "Oh Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder..." Reaching hand to hand between the two, Sid was at the altar on his knees.
When it is God's time to do a thing, no one can steal His thunder!
Sidney left camp that weekend different than he came,
For God brought all the factors to fruition on that Easter day. Don't grow weary in well doing. God brings the fruit His way.
Friend, there is more to tell about the day that Sid got saved.
