Last night as I lay sleeping the story came to me
So I could tell my loved ones how I see eternity.
Only those who know me now can clearly see
I put it down on paper hoping you will heed.
Point 1 I would have you understand:
We are eternal beings with an eternal plan
Body, Soul and Spirit are what make up a man.
The Bible, known as “The Book of Life”
Is a letter to touch the Soul with love
Love is a strange thing in several ways
Only given by choice, never earned.
Why God chose to write through men
I do not understand.
But this is clear to me He gave us choice
Because without it love cannot be
It is His proposal letter inviting our Souls
To dwell with Him for all eternity
Point 2 is clear to me this way:
Death is not an end to life, as many folks would say
It is a separation at the ending of a day.
The First (physical) death:
This is when the Soul and Spirit together
Separate from this terrestrial Body
It is only fit for earth’s domain
Eternity is a whole other story.
The Second (spiritual) death:
The Spirit shall return to God
Who gave it unto us
The destination of the Soul
Is what causes all the fuss
Each of us may choose, or not
If our Soul shall be
Joined with God in heaven
Throughout eternity
Point 3 is where free choice comes in:
In the eternal schedule ‘tis the only thing we control
Throughout eternity where will dwell my Soul?
We are as standing in a foyer and may choose to come in.
Once the “party” starts the inner doors will be locked
The climate from the open door is cut off to the foyer
It then deteriorates and is rendered uninhabitable
If we do not choose to come in we will find ourselves outside.
The Spirit has returned to God and is therefore inside.
Having not chosen to accept His proposal
The Soul and Spirit are now eternally separated
This is the second death (or separation).
Being designed to dwell together this renders the one who did not choose what we understand in our society today as handicapped.
Envision those who dwell in what we call a vegetative state. That is our example of mans eternal Soul as it spends eternity separated from God.
The Bottom line is this:
There are two eternal destinations
Where the soul of man can be
It is either in our out for all eternity.
Because it is that serious I have chosen to communicate it to you in words I want you will take seriously. Hmmmm… God already did that.
