Don't Forget to Tell The Children©
(what Christmas is all about)
It's Christmas Time again and once more we'll sing His praises
For it was on a winter's night of old that our Saviour, Christ, was born
And it fills my heart with joy to know how God's Love has blessed us all
For He's given us a wonderful gift with the birth of this small boy
Don't take Christ out of Christmas,
don't let us forget why he was born
For he has come to save us all from sin, and to enter
our hearts wi th prayer and thanksgiving each morn
To so many of our children, it's a day for Santa Claus and it's a day for happy playing
Taught to them by us, of course,
We're often so guilty of neglecting to tell them the true meaning of this day
To tell them it's the birthday of our King Jesus
and one day he will return back here for us,
to claim his rightful reign
We should teach our children
the true meaning of this day
and tell them how the Wise Men followed
a star to guide their way
Cause a Savior had been promised, by God, so long ago and by Faith they'be been watching
And were led and knew when it was time to go
And as surely as there is a heaven,
they were guided that day
And found the babe in manager,
Christ the Lord
Laying on a bed of hay.
