Count your many blessings,
Be thankful for what you’ve got.
I’m thankful for all I have,
Though it’s really not a lot.

I have all I really need.
A house to rest when day is done.
And when I leave this earth,
I’ll leave that too when I am gone.

Can’t take my home to heaven,
Not even my comfy chair.
But I won’t need it anyway,
When in the Savior‘s care.

I have no need for lots of money,
I’d rather send a head.
For these blessings I can’t take with me,
And that’s what Jesus said.

I’ll have no need for money,
For all there is, is free.
When Jesus purchased all,
When dying upon that tree.

I’d like a little nest egg,
For when I’m old and tired.
But a lot is just too much to handle,
The way that I am wired.

I’ve lived a simple life,
And I like it just that way.
No Worry what to do with it,
When I leave this earth someday.

No, I’ll just settle for my wood frame home,
And my comfy little chair,
As long as I have just my needs,
For Jesus is always there.
