Dear Lord, thank you for the rains
The sunshine and the dew
For grass that carpets hills and plains
And flowers that make the view.
For green leaves that cover the trees
And everything that blend
You have brought comfort to me
As my Lord and my friend.
These are things that make me rich
In my heart faith still holds its place
Lord, thank Thee for many blessings
And for Thy saving grace.
Lord, I have peace and my day is serene
A hope that will never falter nor end
My life would be in vain without Thee
And thank Thee for being my friend.
