Because of love God sent His Son
Jesus came to live here on earth.
Mary, a virgin, was chosen
And she gave the Christ child birth.
Bethlehem inns were too crowded.
A stable was His humble birthplace.
Joseph provided protection
from the many dangers they'd face.
Emanuel means "God with us".
He showed us how we should live,
Serving and loving each other,
being willing to always forgive.
Because of love we celebrate Christmas
Our blessed Savior's birth to recall.
We exchange many greetings and presents
But Christ's presence is the best gift of all.
