This is one in a series of writings telling of the factors God worked together as told us by Paul in Romans 8: 18-28 building the story of my life.

These are the only pictures that have survived
the years of the children taken at the same time.
As it will, time marched along and the children grew.
When this story begins, the oldest was nine the and baby two.

With no reliable way to church and winter coming on
I began teaching the children Bible lessons at home.
They loved to sing together, each one wanting their own part,
And role playing the stories they really took to heart.

When we traveled to the campground my parents had begun.
They found performing skits or songs for that congregation fun.
Wonders for crowd control was a side benefit;
They paid attention to others as had been paid to them.

After their daddy got saved, we began traveling for the Lord.
The children doing their own thing for congregations by the score.
Daddy would testify and I would share the Word.
The children's most requested was "Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord".

It was a long song for them but each had their own part:
sang the first verse, they all sang each chorus.
sang the second verse and sang the third.
and each sang half of verse nunber four.
belted out at the end "and he landed high and dry".

Folks who had heard the song would be looking to their friend.
Checking their reaction at the voice coming out of him.
While the others sang very well with their voices sweet.
The bass that rang forth from our baby brought people to their feet.

The scars upon his back verified testimony from their dad.
When folks would see what he could do after the surgery he'd had.
God blessed our little ministry, folks were healed and folks were saved.
My heart rejoices when I think about His work through us those days!
