There is never a dull moment
When God wakes me every morn
For it's time to start a new day
It's time to weather any storm
I consider it a countless blessing
When awaking to each a new day
And each breath that I am given
A chance to change, what I do or say
Another chance to touch the hurting
Another chance to help the blind to see
Another chance to feel for someone
Much less fortunate than me
Another chance I have been given
To help the hungry, and the lost
To help another soul to realize
They were loved, and paid for, with a cost
No, there is never a dull moment
When God wakes me every morn
For this new day will be better
Than the one before
