Have you had to take a stand against all you'd ever known?
Found yourself at odds with God by something you were shown?
And put your life into His hands and made His way your own?

Some would have called her "Traitor", have you heard that name?
Have family, friends or loved ones; perhaps called you the same?
What she did was not for money, nor was she seeking fame;
Just wanted to be on God's side and put away her shame.

So she hid them on her roof top and covered them with flax;
Told the soldiers they had gone and were not coming back
Saving herself and family from the defeat she knew
Would come with God's attack.

She gave herself to God that day, she trusted His men's word;
She did just what they told her, fearing not the sword.
And she became an ancestor to our Lord!
