'Twas the week before CHRISTmas and all through the land,
People were asking, "Where is that man?"
Little Susie spoke up, "Today, I just read
They put him in jail, for something he said."
Quickly, they united, and went to the jail,
Took up a collection, and posted the bail!
Out came Santa Claus, dressed in bright red,
They asked, "Tell us, what was it you said?"
I was talking with the children, out at the mall,
Said, "Merry CHRISTMAS" to each, to one and to all!"
A policeman came up and got in my way,
He said, "Happy Holiday is all you can say."
Ho! Ho! Ho! I shouted, to him, I replied,
"You don't understand why our Savior died!"
"I put Christ in CHRISTMAS, and there He will stay,
and, if you don't like it, then be on your way!"
So, I got arrested, and that's why I am here,
Cause I say, "Merry CHRISTmas and Happy New Year!"
We helped Santa pack, and get on his way,
He shouted to the crowed while flying away!
"WE HONOR HIS BIRTHDAY, THIS IS THE SEASON,
SO SAY 'MERRY CHRISTMAS' FOR THE VERY BEST REASON,
JESUS DIED FOR US ALL, SO BE OF GOOD CHEER,
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!"
