Oh God, forgive me of my sin,
Let all my evil deeds here cease,
My soul know everlasting peace,
Each day to grow within.
Oh God, please grant the strength I need,
That I refrain from idle talk,
And with each footstep, I would walk,
The path that You would lead,
And too, my faith, that it would grow,
I, to your word, a witness be,
That your great love would show through me,
And many more would know.
Oh God, for courage, I would ask,
This vessel now, that You would fill,
That I could bravely do Your will,
Each chore, each deed, each task.
Oh God, if You’d provide for me,
This body with your daily bread,
My needs through You would then be fed,
Oh God, please let it be.
Dear God, in You, my heart’s at rest,
Again, I am, as if a child,
My soul no longer be defiled,
My life eternally blessed.
