So many times, we all have failed
To take out a little time to pray;
And thank God for the many blessings
He gives us both night and day.
We strive so hard to reach the top
By means of our own wit;
And forget to ask our Lord above
To help us, just a little bit.
Sometimes we wonder why our strength
Isn't very sufficient for the task;
And can't see the help He's happy to give
If only we would take the time to ask.
His help is all we'd ever need
To gain every daily goal;
And His hand is the only one we'd need
Whenever we need one to hold.
So tell me, Why don't we, right now
Take time to bow to our knees;
Ask the Lord to forgive and help us
For you know, He'd be more than pleased.
And whenever your troubles seem so great
And they can't be answered your way;
Remember: God above will always help
If we only take the time to pray.
