The year was 1959, the day the first of July
as he practiced his art of lighting the sky
our doctor was paged to serve a different kind.
My Peggy had being born on her mind! Ouch!!
Her sister, not one year, we told
here's a sister for your birthday.
Oops.             She wasn't sold.
But the wading pool was okay :)

There was walking and talking, scrapes and bruises and such.
There was gradeschool and highschool and falling in love.
There was marriage and family and friends by the score.
There was her faith that saw her through heartaches and more.
She was a singer, a nurse.
She was a friend and a wife.
She was stern when she need be.
She was gentle and kind.

She married her childhood sweetheart and died in his arms.
That same sister (above) recieved the awful alarm.
We went to her family and did all that we could.
We held them and helped them like any family would.
