Message from my Master

Sister Leola, when I wrote this, my late husband was in the hospital. He'd had a minor heart attack and had to be given a triple bypass. That weekend, I'd gone to see him. When I walked into his room, he was crying very hard, while rubbing his hands together tightly. When I walked up beside of him, I asked what was wrong, he replied with, "Oh Sweetheart, I'll never make it through this surgery, and the doctors have told me I'll never be able come home again. I'm so, so sorry Babe, please forgive me." I had no idea what in the world he was talking about but suddenly broke into heavy tears. I told him I'd be back as soon as I could, that I needed to go the chapel downstairs. When I walked outside of his room, the tears were so heavy, I had to hang onto the wall to guide me to the elevators. Yet when I walked into the chapel I heard these words being quoted:

Today, while crying to my Master,
I heard Him say, "My dear child,
You don't have to worry,
Nor let your thoughts run wild;
Just take this present moment and
Put all your problems in My hand
For you know, My dear child,
I fully understand.

The weight upon you shoulders
Isn't more than you can embrace.
You can very easily do it
With your precious heart of faith.
Always remember these words I say
And remind yourself of them
Each step along the narrow way.

Sister Leola, when I went back upstairs to his room, the doctor was standing by his bed, talking to him about dismissing him.
This poem was written right after he was given a triple bypass - 1990. He did not die for another 10 years.
