Merry Christmas Thoughts

Today the sun is shining...
And the air is brisk and cold
People rush about...
In the crowds so eager and bold.

In a hurry to buy...
A gift for someone they love
To celebrate the birthday...
Of the Son of God above.

Oh how this time of year...
Places smiles on our faces
And how we hurry to say...
Merry Christmas to folks of all races.

Our hearts are warmed...
As we think of others
All our friends...
Our sisters and our brothers.

Still there is sadness in the air...
As we look around
For those that have nothing to share...
No food in the pantry found.

Those that have lost loved ones...
And those away from home
So many will be lonely...
While spending the day alone.

It would be nice to have a magic wand...
To bring happiness everywhere
But alas there is none...
Still with love in our hearts – we can offer a prayer.

That God will bless those we love...
And those throughout the land
Every man, woman and child...
With love and blessings grand.

Lord we ask that the day will humble our hearts...
As we celebrate your Son's birth
And let us always remember...
That He was the greatest gift - given to us on earth.

The sun is shining...
The air is brisk and cold
Let the people listen...
While the Christmas Story is told.

Today with God's blessings...
We will celebrate His Birth
Never forgetting Lord...
Our precious Saviors worth.

And as we wish Merry Christmas...
To everyone both far and near
We will also be asking Gods Blessings...
On the coming year.

Ho - Ho - Ho and a Merry Christmas
And God Bless you with a Happy New Year,
May your heart be filled with gladness
And your life be filled with good cheer.

May Christ be the center of your Christmas
May your celebration include His love,
And I pray your thoughts be centered
Only on the Father and Heaven above.

For after all it is His Birthday
And the celebration is for Him.
To day is His Birthday
And - His love will never grow dim.
