That ice storm really put a chill into our homes.
This ol' child felt the cold to her very bones.
Who would have thought the aftermath
would destroy more than the storm?
But that's what happened to many of us
in one or another form.
Some of us read by candle.
Some of us shivered thorough the night.

Some had power surges oh so bright-
To behold that was such a sight;
Yet 'twas surely the appliance blight.
Appliance, toy, so many fried.
And insurance loop holes though we tried.
If it would have helped we could have cried.
But we knew that would not turn the tide
So we looked to the One who walks beside
And in who's grace we each abide!
He will rebuke the devourer for my sake!!
He will restore my land!!
There's nothing He will not undertake.
And He holds me in the hollow of His hand.

That which is ment for evil toward me
He will use to save me and my family.
He is working ALL things together for my good.
He is molding me into His perfect likeness!!
When I am buffetted His grace is sufficient.
When I falter His mercy magnificent.
He allows me an open door to His presence.
~ So I cry out ~
You have opened my eyes that what I have
is not necessary to meet my need.
It is Your holiness today for which I plead.
So in my heart do plant Your seed.
Your blessings come in many a form.
So thank You Lord for that mean ice storm!!
