John saw a city, coming down from heaven above prepared as a bride for her bridegroom; with jewels so fair A city bright and glorious, filled with God's heavenly love. One day, we'll see the New Jerusalem, and behold our Savior there. The tabernacle of God shall abide with men, He has promised to wipe away all tears, God Himself shall be there, when we enter in. There shall be no more death, sorrow, crying, or fears. He that sat upon the throne, said He'd make all things new The Lord told John to write, for His words were faithful and true. He said to Him, "It is done, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and end." He'll give the thirsty drink from the fountain of water of life, and be their dearest friend. There will be no need for a temple there For the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb shall be the light, What a glorious day that shall be, In that city, where there shall be no night. Hold on by faith and run the race The best is just ahead, Children of God must press on, Trust in God each day and be Spirit led. The New Jerusalem of God has been promised to all who are faithful and true, We shall dwell with God in that great city, When all things are made anew. Blessings In Christ, Jo Ann Kelly © 2005 J.
