The morning news seems to reveal, words of war and strife
Famine, fighting, and fear, is seen all across the land,
The heart of a child of God can have peace and rest,
We have God's promises, on His Word, we must firmly stand.
Though the battle may seem great, and the enemy rage
We have a Savior who is greater than all alarm.
Jesus will keep us safe, in His most secret place,
When we abide in Him, we can be safe from all harm.
Whose report will we believe?
We will believe the report of the Lord.
In the grip of His grace, we are safe and secure,
We're protected by God's armor and the Spirit's mighty sword.
No matter what trials or tribulation, we may face each day
There is a Comforter to see us through,
When we know our Loving Savior, we can rest secure
We have a God of Promise, who is always faithful and true.
We have the promises of His soon coming
He will catch His bride away one day,
We must be ready for the day of our Lord's appearing,
Jesus will help us all along life's way.
