The Lord is my shepherd, David once wrote,
Because of His love I have all that I need,
And so it is with this one also,
He has provided all, yes, indeed

So when I look over my cupboards again
and find them all barren from beginning to end
It will behoove me to thank our dear Lord
for giving me grace and not due reward

for I can remember the awfullest things
that I have thought or said loudly
But he says "I don't remember your sins"
And he seems to say it so proudly

For if I am reading the Word in the right
He carries our sins all off in the night
and forgets them forever once we have repent
and then we all can be "HEAVEN SENT"

So if you are feeling stress over guilt
just remember the lamb whose blood was spilt
to grant you forgiveness and peace of mind
what more could we ask for, what more could we find

The HeartPatch Poet
This poem is written in memory of my mother who was taken home on July 20, 1972, and without whose witness, I might have died on that same day and not have been "Heaven Sent"
