The election is now over, The voting is all done
Making your choice, casting your vote
Exercising your voice, let us take note
It no longer matters who I chose & the other man won.
And he will be OUR PRESIDENT, if American,
So I shall bow my heart before the Lord
With godly souls praying in one accord
As sincerely as if I had voted for him.
Yes, my vote was important. Of that I have no doubt.
We are a republic based on democracy
Every single person can express their philosophy.
My friends that's what "American" is all about.
When the election is over, the voting has been done
Having made your choice, cast your vote
And exercised your voice, let us take note
What matters now is holding in prayer the man who won.
Letting no bitterness take root in my heart
As we continue looking for the good
God help him do the things he should
It's a really big job and he is at the start.
