Lord, please guide my path and set my feet upon solid ground
Never let go of me I pray, or I will surely drown
I may stumble, fall, or walk on sinking sand
Unless You hold tightly to my hand
There are times when I can’t feel you near
It’s those times Lord that grip my heart with trembling fear
I know it’s just old Satan bringing torment, fear and doubt
And I know I will hold fast to your promised word
Because your love for me I cannot live without
Once I am yours, you told me that no one can take me from you
What a blessing of assurance then comes to mind
And peace is restored in my heart one more time
My faith again renewed and once more I am standing
on solid ground
I sing praises to you My Savior, My Love, My Lord
I can hear the angelic choir their voices singing heavenly praise
All in perfect harmony as their voices in song are raised
Thank you Lord for the blessed Assurance of Salvation!
