Numbers 1-3

I noticed an order that I had not previously considered.
Those camped around the Levites.
Those who would lead (camped on the east)
JUDAH . . . . . . praise . . . . . . . Genesis 29:36
ISSACHAR . . tribute . . . . . . . Genesis 49:15
ZEBULUN single heartedness 1Chronicles 12:33
And I realized that this is how we need to move forward in this life. Putting praise, tribute and singleheartedness first in our prayers and in our daily walk with our faces toward the Son (on the east side of the tabernacle).

REUBEN first born (commonly considered ones strength) Genesis 29:32
SIMEON 2nd born (Leah thought this made her a bond with Jacob) Genesis 29:33
GAD . . . . . .troop . . . . . .Genesis 30:12 & 49:19
My own strength, bond with significant others and enemies are important enough to our Lord that He places them 2nd in line and are to camp on the south (bottom on or maps today). He Cares about my cares and it is important that I present them to Him before I can move on.

THE TABERNACLE IS ALWAYS CENTER just as He is center.
Althouh everyone knew the Levites bore the temple it was the temple they looked to. We will never loose our balance when centered in Christ!

EPHRAIM . . . . . . . . fruitfulness . . . . . . Genesis 41:52
MANASSEH . . . . . .forgiveness . . . . . .Genesis 41:51
BENJAMIN . . . . . .terror/sorrow . . . . .Genesis 35:18 & 49:27
Fruitfullness and forgiveness spring forth from times of terror and sorrow. As it was Rachels last utterence before death, so must we never cease to pray. As it was Jacobs heartache at the loss of his beloved, so must we find forgiveness in our sorrow and bear the fruit of righteousness.

DAN . . . . . .judgement . . . . . .Genesis 30:6
ASHER . . . .happiness . . . . . .Genesis 30:13
NAPHTALI victory . . . . . . . . Genesis 30:8
And our rear guard is His judgement which should always find us rejoicing. Are we happy in the victory Christ has won for us? Happiness and victory should be in our wake! If we walk in the order He has laid out for us Psalm 37:23 it will.

Ps 37:23-31

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
KJV

We know the prayer Jesus gave when his disciples asked "Lord teach us to pray". (Luke 11) We can quote the prayer by heart and many of us apply it's order to each prayer we utter. That order reminds us of our relationship to Him and His majesty. It shows us that we have responsibility to mirror His forgiveness and must not bear grudges if we want to walk in victory. It keeps our focus on His Will and helps us walk in peace that passes all understanding.

Putting praise, tribute and singleheartedness first in our prayers is a long ago learned lesson which has born much fruit. Now the Lord has broken through to me with the awesome truth that this is the foot He wants each of us put forward to walk through this life. Here I have been following an order by nature that God has given us in His Word!

You are invited to walk with me as we look at:
passion week

Easter Sunday
April 10    No Longer There by Jim Busby
some Emaus experience side effects
